Flight Information!

Hello everyone,

We have our official flight information. Since we are booked in the budget class for flights, sometimes they have to route us to weird places instead of direct flights. Last year we had a stopover in London each way. This year, we have a stopover in Charlotte on the way to London. However, we have a direct flight home from Munich! The flight over will be US Airways, which I've never flown internationally before. American-based airlines are ok, but pretty basic for international travel. However, the flight home from Munich will be with Lufthansa, which is supposed to be one of the world's best airlines, with great service and food. That should be very enjoyable, and it will be so nice not to have a stopover. Also, we leave Munich at 3:20, so that means we don't have to get up at 5:30am as we did to leave Madrid last year. So this is a lot of good news.

The sad news is that Cailyn and her mother will no longer be able to join us since Cailyn needs surgery. It is a sad loss, but I'm excited about our group and looking forward to the new people we will meet! I have sent the company our rooming arrangements, so you are all set with that.

If you paid in full, there is about $9 extra to pay on your accounts because departure fees have changed. They change all the time and are not set by EF but by airports and stuff. We are close to the deadline where departure fees cannot change anymore, so that is good news. I know this may be frustrating, although it's all part of getting the cheapest price possible for our trip. Last year, all trip participants received a refund after the trip because of a change in departure fees. This won't necessarily happen to your group, although the company tries to be as fair as possible.

Thanks! Get excited!

Ms. Nazario

Our flights are E-Tickets, which means you only need your Passport to check in. You go to the self check in, scan your passport, get your boarding documents, and then head to bag check. I'll send you more info about bags later, although packing light is crucial since we are staying in so many hotels and moving around a lot. I have lots of packing tips for that, which I'll post soon.
