Additional Information

Hello again everyone,

I just wanted to point out that our flight is from NEWARK.  It's just as easy to get to Newark than the other airports, and there is sometimes even less traffic.  There are options to take the train, a taxi, an airport bus or have a friend or relative drop you off.  My parents live in NJ, so I will be getting a ride with them.  Many of you might want to consider this:http://www.coachusa.com/olympia/ss.newarkairport.asp  The bus is $15 each way from Manhattan.  More details as our departure nears.

I also have some more information about our itinerary change for Day 6 (ferry to Patras, Greece).  Instead of leaving from Brindisi, we are leaving from Ancona, about a 6 hour bus trip along the coast North.  Bad news, we have to combine Capri and Pompeii into the same day on Day 5 and we  have to be on the bus longer on Day 6.  Good news, we get to see more of Italy, including the beautiful Eastern Italian coatline with opportunities for stops.  They have also upgraded us from a basic "slow" ferry to a pretty nice boat.  Check out the line here.  In addition, even though it is Easter weekend, they have prioritized our group for a tour of the Vatican so you won't have to worry about missing that due to the crowds.  They are in conversations about what else they can do to make our trip special.  Honestly, the buses are comfortable and the change, while a bit out of the way, can help us see new things and we'll get more nap time on the bus.  :)

Finally, all three groups on our bus are from New York!  There is one group from Manhattan, an Urban Assembly school.  The other group is from Albany -- so if you make any friends on the trip, you can easily see them again!

More information coming soon, including the updated packing list.  Please email me with any questions.

Ms. Nazario
